When, Why & How?

Paul Bloom discovered “the capacity for imaginative pleasure is universal, and it emerges early in development. All normal children, everywhere, enjoy playing and pretending”.
Children need a normal childhood. They cannot choose
  • what home they grow up in
  • how their parents treat them
  • what is taught at their school
But we can. It is up to us to bring imagination and creation back into our children’s lives and education.

         Why should we do this?
Paul Harris said, “human beings have a gift for fantasy, which shows itself at a very early age and then continues to make all sorts of contributions to our intellectual and emotional life throughout the lifespan”.
If we want our intelligence and emotional intelligence to continue growing, like Paul Harris said, we need to have our children imagine freely at a very early age.

          How can we do this?
  • We let our children play outside where their imagination can run and go wild
  • We never tell them they cannot do anything, but we tell them that the world is at their feet
  • We never let them doubt themselves, but make them believe in themselves
  • We play with our children as if we never grew up
  • We allow them the freedom to create their very own world
